Car rental insurance & protection – what you need to know

Basic insurance is always included in your car rental with ATET, but it’s important to understand what is covered and your level of liability. With additional car hire protection packages, you can significantly reduce your financial risk and enjoy a worry-free rental experience.

Is insurance included in car rental?

Yes. All car rentals include basic insurance with renter liability.

Liability depends on:

• vehicle category
• selected protection package

Can I reduce my liability in car rental?

Yes. You can reduce liability by purchasing additional protection.

What car rental insurance options are available?

Available car hire protection packages:

• RCDW – partial liability reduction (available online and office)
• SCDW – super liability reduction (available online and office)
• ALL – premium / all-inclusive package (available only at pick-up in ATET office)

What does RCDW (partial liability reduction) in car rental include?

RCDW reduces liability by approximately 50%. It does NOT cover:

• exterior/body damage
• undercarriage, tyres
• interior damage
• negligence or violations

What does SCDW (super liability reduction) in car rental include?

SCDW covers damage to the vehicle body. It does NOT cover:

• glass
• tyres
• undercarriage
• interior

What does ALL (All Inclusive package) in car rental include?

The ALL package includes:

• vehicle body damage
• glass, tyres, and undercarriage damage
• roadside assistance

This is the highest level of car rental protection, lowest financial risk.

Available only at pick-up in person.

What is Interior protection in car rental?

Interior coverage includes:

• deep cleaning
• interior damage
• Not valid in cases of negligence or vandalism.

What does roadside assistance include?

Car rental roadside assistance includes:

• assistance coordination
• replacement vehicle delivery
• towing costs

Price: €15 for the entire rental period.
