What additional administrative fees may apply during car rental?
During your car rental with ATET, certain administrative fees may apply in specific situations.
These include:
- damage handling fee (AHF)
- fine handling fee (FHF)
What is the fine handling fee (FHF) in car rental?
The fine handling fee (FHF) applies when ATET must:
- provide driver information to authorities
- process traffic violations or fines
- forwarding renter details to official institutions
- administrative handling of the case

What is the administration handling fee (AHF) in car rental?
The damage handling fee (AHF) could appliy in cases where:
- a vehicle is damaged during the rental
- administrative processing is required
- documentation, reports, and claim procedures must be handled
- collecting and reviewing documentation
- communication with insurance or third parties
- full processing of the damage case

Can administrative fees be charged after the rental ends?
Yes. Administrative fees may be charged after the rental period.
This is because:
- fines and violations may arrive later
- official procedures can take time
- documentation is processed after rental completion
ATET may charge these costs upon receiving official documentation.

What happens if fuel is missing at return?
If fuel is missing:
- the difference is charged
- Fhe fuel refilling service fee amounts to €30.00 + the cost of the missing quantity of fuel according to the current price list
- additional service fees may apply
Can I return the rental car empty?
- Only if you have purchased a prepaid fuel option.
- Otherwise, the vehicle must be returned with the agreed fuel level.
What happens if the car is returned excessively dirty?
Cleaning fees may apply if:
- the vehicle is returned in poor condition
- excessive dirt, stains, or smoking is detected
- Cleaning cost S / minor cleaning = 30,00 € (incl. VAT)
- Cleaning cost L / major cleaning (deep cleaning) = 100,00 € (incl. VAT)
Can additional charges be applied after return?
Yes. Additional charges may include:
- damage costs
- fuel differences
- late return fees
- fines or administrative costs
What happens if I lose the car keys?
- Replacement and related costs are charged to the renter.
What happens if I lose the documents of a rental car?
If you lose the rental car documents, you must contact ATET immediately so we can assist you and provide further instructions. Our technical support team will guide you through the next steps and ensure a safe continuation or return of the vehicle.

Are there any costs if I lose car rental documents?
Yes. If rental car documents are lost, additional costs may apply. The exact amount depends on the situation and will be communicated by our team.
These may include:
- document replacement costs
- administrative fees
- any related handling or processing costs
What happens if I forget personal belongings in a rental car?
If you believe you have forgotten personal belongings in your rental car or at an ATET office, please contact us as soon as possible. Our team will check the lost and found and inform you if your items have been located.

Is ATET responsible for lost or forgotten items in a rental car?
No. ATET is not responsible for any loss or damage to personal belongings left in:
- the rental vehicle
- a service vehicle
- ATET offices
- All items are left at the renter’s own risk.
