Terms of Use in ATET d.o.o.

Last update: 30.3.2026

I. Initial Terms

These general terms and conditions of business apply to all relationships entered into by ATET d.o.o. (hereinafter: ATET) with third parties (hereinafter: the renter) in connection with its core business activity, and form an integral part of the vehicle rental agreement concluded between the renter and ATET d.o.o.

ATET d.o.o. and the renter confirm the validity of these general terms and conditions by signing the vehicle rental agreement, and the signatures of both parties simultaneously constitute the express declaration of both that they are fully acquainted with the contents of these general terms and conditions and accept them.

Any violation of these terms and conditions may result in cancellation of the rental contract, as well as the right to claim from the breaching party any damage incurred as a result of such withdrawal.

The rental of a vehicle under the agreement of which these general terms and conditions form an integral part is territorially limited exclusively to Europe (certain restrictions also apply within Europe), and the renter may not use the rented vehicle or take it outside the borders of Europe. Vehicle rental without territorial limitation of use is only possible on the basis of a special prior written agreement between ATET d.o.o. and the renter. In the event of the renter’s failure to comply with this provision, ATET d.o.o. shall be entitled to terminate the rental agreement immediately, and the renter shall be liable to ATET d.o.o. for all damage and loss of profit that may arise as a result of non-compliance with this provision.

II. Authorized driving

a) The vehicle rented under the agreement of which these general terms and conditions form an integral part may only be driven or operated by:

  • persons over 18 years of age who hold a valid driving licence

* At the time of pick-up, a valid driving licence must be presented for all drivers listed in the rental agreement. Driving licences not written in the Latin alphabet (such as Arabic, Chinese, Cyrillic, and others), or residents from outside the EU (European Union), must also hold an international driving permit. With regard to national rules and laws, the renter should contact the competent embassy in case of any doubt.

  • if a person is under 21 years of age, a young driver surcharge applies;
  • persons authorized to drive or use the vehicle under the rental agreement of which these general terms and conditions form an integral part.

Both conditions for use from the previous paragraph must be fulfilled cumulatively.

b) The rented vehicle may not be used, operated, or driven:

  • for any paid transport of passengers, items, or goods;
  • for any sports or other competitions (road racing etc.);
  • for powering or towing any other vehicle or object;
  • by persons under the influence of alcohol, drugs, narcotics, sedatives, sleeping pills, medicines for which driving motor vehicles is not recommended, etc.;
  • if the vehicle is not roadworthy or is not technically sound, and the renter or the operator of the vehicle is aware of this;
  • if it is overloaded, whether by a number of passengers exceeding the number for which the particular vehicle is registered, or by a load exceeding the permitted weight limit;
  • on unclassified roads (in the event of a breakdown, the renter shall bear all potential *recovery costs and *administrative costs);

* An unclassified road is any traffic surface that is not classified as a public road and on which traffic is conducted in the manner and under the conditions determined by the owner or the owner’s authorized manager of such traffic surface in accordance with road traffic safety regulations (forest roads, mountain roads, access roads and approaches to buildings and land, functional traffic areas adjacent to buildings, bus stations, privately owned roads, and similar).

* Recovery costs: Recovery costs mean costs incurred in recovering the vehicle and/or driver and passengers from a specific situation. This may include towing costs and the cost of activating other competent authorities or services.

* Administrative costs: activation and additional work of an employee, completion of forms, completion of an accident report, valuation record, and handling of other administrative matters.

  • contrary to road traffic regulations and other applicable laws of the country in whose territory the vehicle is being used;
  • beyond the limits of driving permitted by road conditions and other circumstances of driving, use, or operation of the vehicle at a given moment;

Road condition circumstances are assessed based on the current weather forecast, general road traffic regulations, and road traffic regulations applicable during extraordinary weather conditions (for example floods).

  • for subletting or allowing use by any third person not listed in the rental agreement;
  • for any purposes contrary to those for which the vehicle rental agreement, of which these general terms and conditions form an integral part, was concluded.

III. Delivery and return of the rented vehicle

The renter shall take possession of the vehicle upon fulfillment of all conditions and formalities and upon signing the agreement of which these general terms and conditions form an integral part.

By concluding the rental agreement, ownership title does not pass to the renter or any third person. The vehicle is delivered to the renter in technically sound, roadworthy condition and with all legally required mandatory equipment and the corresponding spare tyre. If additional equipment is present in the vehicle, this shall be recorded in the rental agreement of which these general terms and conditions form an integral part.

Upon collecting the vehicle, all vehicle documentation is also handed over to the renter, while the vehicle’s insurance policy is available for inspection at ATET d.o.o. During the rental period, the renter is responsible for the received documents as well as for the vehicle. In the event of loss, destruction, or damage to the documents, the renter shall bear the cost of issuing new documents. The cost of issuing new documents depends on which documents must be reissued, whether due to loss or damage (vehicle registration certificate, document pouch, international motor insurance card, or other documents).

The renter agrees to return the rented vehicle on the day of expiry of the rental agreement, at the time and place specified in the rental agreement for the return of the vehicle.

The renter further agrees to return the vehicle in the same condition as it was received. Vital parts of the vehicle are sealed or marked with factory serial numbers. If ATET d.o.o. finds that any such part is missing or has been replaced, it shall have the right to charge the renter for all resulting damage, compensation, and possible loss of profit for the period during which it is unable to use the vehicle for its core business activity. Damage to a seal or factory serial number shall be deemed proof that the part is missing or has been replaced.

If an extension of the rental is not coordinated with the department of ATET d.o.o., ATET d.o.o. shall have the right to notify the police, who shall take appropriate action. Before notifying the police, ATET d.o.o. shall attempt to contact the renter once by telephone or email; it is sufficient that ATET d.o.o. has unsuccessfully attempted to contact the renter once. It shall be deemed that ATET d.o.o. has unsuccessfully attempted to contact the renter if the renter fails to respond within 24 hours of the notice. In such case, the renter waives the right to claim damages.

In the case referred to in the previous paragraph, the renter waives possession rights to the vehicle and at the same time waives any claims or requests relating to possessory protection or any compensation claims on the same basis.

The minimum rental period charged is 1 day (24 hours). The vehicle may also be rented for a shorter period (e.g. a few hours), but regardless of the actual duration of use, at least one rental day, i.e. 24 hours, shall always be charged.

  • Vehicle pick-up is expected at the previously confirmed pick-up time. If the renter anticipates a later arrival, they must inform ATET d.o.o. in due time. If no notice of delay is given, ATET d.o.o. guarantees the presence of an employee at the agreed location for up to 60 minutes after the confirmed pick-up time; after that period, the presence of an employee or availability of the vehicle is no longer guaranteed.
  • Vehicle return is expected at the previously confirmed return time. If the vehicle will be returned later, the renter must notify ATET d.o.o. in advance. If the delay is between 1 and 59 minutes, no surcharge shall apply. In the event of a delay exceeding 60 minutes, the renter shall be charged for an additional rental day.

The renter may extend the vehicle rental for which a valid rental agreement has been concluded only by explicit agreement with ATET d.o.o.

Upon extending the rental, the renter must provide ATET d.o.o. with additional funds covering the anticipated total rental amount.

VI. Mileage

The rental amount includes an approximately limited mileage that may not exceed a total of 400 km/day for rentals from 1 to 30 days. For all rentals exceeding 30 days, individual terms shall apply, which are the subject of the individual offer.

In the event mileage is charged, the number of kilometres driven during the rental period shall be determined based on the factory-installed odometer, with the odometer reading recorded before the start of the rental and upon return of the vehicle.

Category of vehicles Price for additional kilometer
 Category MDMR /ECMR 0,13 € / km (with VAT)
Category EWMR / ECAR 0,17 € / km (with VAT
Category CDMR / CVMR / CDAR / DDAE 0,20 € / km (with VAT)

Category FVMR/ OVMR 0,28 € / km (with VAT)
Category PLAR / PVAR  0,30 € / km (with VAT)

Any interference by the renter with the factory-installed odometer or dashboard of the vehicle is prohibited. If there are reasonable grounds to suspect malicious interference with the odometer, ATET shall have the right to order an official inspection at an authorized service centre. If the renter has tampered with the odometer or dashboard on their own initiative, the amount of damage shall be determined after the official inspection.

In the event of an odometer malfunction, the renter must notify ATET d.o.o. immediately, and ATET d.o.o. shall provide all appropriate instructions on how to proceed.

VII. Fuel policy

Fuel is not included in the rental price. As a rule, the rented vehicle is delivered with a full tank of fuel prescribed for the particular type of vehicle.

The renter must return the vehicle to ATET d.o.o. with a full tank of the appropriate fuel according to the type of vehicle; otherwise, the renter shall be additionally charged for the cost of refilling the fuel tank to full.

  • The fuel refilling service fee amounts to €30.00 + the cost of the missing quantity of fuel according to the current price list.

If the vehicle is delivered with a non-full tank, the renter shall, subject to prior agreement or instruction from a representative of ATET d.o.o., return the vehicle with the same fuel level. If the vehicle is returned with more fuel than it had upon pick-up, reimbursement for the excess fuel is not possible.

In the event of incorrect refuelling of the rented vehicle during use, an additional charge shall apply.

The cost of incorrect refuelling consists of the following costs:

  • administrative fee (€70.00)
  • cost of a full tank of fuel according to the current price list
  • cost of any repairs due to resulting damage

In addition to the label of the correct fuel type on the fuel cap door, each vehicle is also equipped with a sticker indicating the correct fuel type, located on the dashboard of the rented vehicle.

VIII. Maintenance

The renter undertakes to take care of the vehicle as a prudent operator throughout the rental period and to regularly check the oil level in the engine and brakes, the water in the cooling system and battery, and the air pressure in the tyres. In the event of a longer rental period or a rental involving a greater number of kilometres driven, the renter must first notify ATET d.o.o. of the need to refill the engine oil, and ATET d.o.o. shall provide the renter with precise instructions for performing the oil change.

If, during the rental period, the renter (under ATET instructions) independently purchases engine oil or any other fluid required for regular vehicle use, the renter must keep the original receipt for each such purchase and immediately submit it to ATET d.o.o.; without submission of the receipt, reimbursement of costs is not possible.

In the event of a longer-term rental or a rental involving a greater number of kilometres driven, the renter undertakes to carry out maintenance and servicing of the vehicle in accordance with the agreement and instructions of ATET d.o.o. At the same time, in such cases, the renter also assumes the obligation to carry out preventive technical inspections of the vehicle in accordance with the law and other applicable regulations.

In the event of damage to the vehicle or deterioration of the vehicle due to failure to comply with the provisions of this section of the general terms and conditions, the renter must compensate ATET d.o.o. for all such damage and any lost profit due to the inability to use the particular vehicle for its core revenue-generating activity.

All vehicles are fitted with a sticker notifying of the smoking ban in the vehicle. In the event of a breach of the smoking ban in the vehicle, an additional charge shall apply.

  • The cost of breaching the smoking ban fee in the vehicle is: 180,00 € (incl. VAT).

Upon pick-up, the renter receives an inspected and cleaned vehicle for use for a specified period. At the end of the rental, every renter must return the rented vehicle in *appropriate condition. Any extraordinary, inappropriate condition of the vehicle upon return means that the renter shall also be charged for extraordinary cleaning of the vehicle due to negligence.

* Appropriate condition of the vehicle: without the renter’s personal belongings, without used products and empty packaging (food and beverages), without human excretions, etc.

The cost of extraordinary cleaning of the vehicle is determined according to the condition of the vehicle:

  • Cleaning cost S / minor cleaning = 30,00 € (incl. VAT)
  • Cleaning cost L / major cleaning (deep cleaning) = 100,00 € (incl. VAT)

IX. Liability of the Renter, Insurance, Excess Protection, Accidents and Breakdowns – General Provisions

This chapter sets out the renter’s fundamental obligations in the event of an accident, damage, or breakdown of the vehicle and defines the renter’s duty and instructions regarding timely notification of ATET d.o.o.

In the event of any traffic or other accident, damage, technical breakdown, or any other situation that may result in damage to the vehicle or liability to third parties, the renter must first call ATET d.o.o. on the emergency phone number +386 30 313 313 and strictly follow the instructions received. Appropriate and timely notification is essential for the proper handling of the damage claim, communication with the insurer, police, or other competent authorities and any exercise of rights or reimbursement of costs for the benefit of the renter.

If the renter does not act in accordance with these instructions or fails to notify in a timely manner, situations may arise in which certain procedures can no longer be carried out retroactively before the competent authorities or other involved entities. In such a case, ATET d.o.o. shall not be liable for any inability to exercise rights or obtain reimbursement of costs, and the renter shall be solely liable for all damage or costs thereby caused to ATET d.o.o. or to the user themselves, regardless of any selected additional liability waiver.

If the renter fails to act in accordance with the provisions of this section in the event of an accident, breakdown, damage to the vehicle, or other situations the renter shall be solely liable for all damage thereby caused to ATET d.o.o.

X. Insurance, Excess Protection and Liability waivers

During the rental period, the renter bears responsibility for the vehicle entrusted for use. This responsibility means an obligation to reimburse damage up to a certain amount, defined according to the category of the rented vehicle and the provisions of the individual rental agreement. The amount of liability is specified in the price list or in the vehicle rental agreement.

The renter may limit their financial liability for damage to the vehicle by selecting additional liability waiver / excess protection packages. During the rental period, these packages reduce the renter’s liability or cover certain types of damage to a certain extent, in accordance with the applicable terms in force from time to time. Additional waivers /protections do not constitute insurance for the benefit of the renter, but rather a contractual limitation of the renter’s liability towards the owner of the vehicle.

Regardless of the included excess protection for the individual vehicle, the renter must compensate ATET d.o.o. for any damage to the individual vehicle in the following cases (unless the rental agreement under different conditions provides otherwise):

  • damage inside the vehicle, to windscreen wipers, antenna and/or other accessories on the vehicle;
  • damage to the undercarriage of the vehicle, tyre damage, wheel covers;
  • if the damage was caused while under the influence of alcohol, drugs, other narcotics or medicines the use of which makes driving or operating motor vehicles inadvisable
  • if the renter caused the damage intentionally or through negligence;
  • if the renter did not have a valid driving licence at the time the damage occurred
  • if the damage arose as a consequence of using the rented vehicle contrary to the provisions of Section II of these general terms and conditions;
  • if the damage occurred in areas or countries excluded from the selected excess protection under these general terms and conditions (crisis areas, war and potential war areas, etc.);
  • in other cases excluded from excess protection coverage.

In all cases described in this section, the renter shall be liable to ATET d.o.o. with all of their assets.

In the event of damage to the vehicle discovered subsequently, ATET d.o.o. shall generally endeavour to notify the renter within 3 (three) working days after the end of the rental but in certain cases notification may also be given after expiry of this period. As a rule the renter shall be liable for the damage caused, whereas the extent of such liability depends on the selected liability waivers and the findings arising from the relevant documentation (e.g. European Accident Statement, reports, authorized service centre inspections, etc.).

The renter must themselves bear any difference between the amount of the actual or caused damage and the maximum excess protection coverage under the policy for the individual vehicle.

In cases of established negligent, inappropriate, repeated use of the vehicle, especially where multiple damages to one or more vehicles occur, ATET d.o.o. reserves the right to immediately terminate the rental agreement and repossess the vehicle without notice. Such termination shall not affect the renter’s obligation to compensate the damage caused or fulfil other contractual obligations. The above also applies where the renter has included one of the additional liability waiver / excess protection packages.

The renter also has the option to include an Interior Protection, whereby the renter waives liability in the event of extraordinary cleaning or interior damage to the vehicle. If the extraordinary cleaning or interior damage is the result of negligence or vandalism, the coverage shall not apply.

XI. Accidents

  • ATET Emergency contact number: +386 30 313 313
  • ATET Reservation Centre and Customer Support: +386 1 320 82 30 / sales@atet.si

In the event of any damage to the vehicle, traffic accident, or other accident involving the rented vehicle, the renter undertakes to protect the interests of ATET d.o.o. and the insurer with which the rented vehicle involved in the accident is insured, in particular by:

  • recording all names and addresses of participants and witnesses to the accident;
  • not leaving the damaged vehicle until it has been secured or moved to safety;
  • Immediately and as quickly as possible notifying ATET d.o.o. or its nearest branch of the damage, even if it is minor;
  • In every case immediately calling the Police informing them of the accident, waiting for their arrival and the preparation of the appropriate official accident report, and obtaining a copy of that report;
  • providing a written statement about the accident and completing the “European Accident Statement”, which is enclosed with the documents of the rented vehicle, and upon return of the vehicle completing the internal document – Report on Newly Occurred Damage – and providing a copy of the driving licence for the purpose of damage assessment through the insurer.

XII. Breakdowns

The renter must immediately notify ATET d.o.o. of any breakdowns of the rented vehicle and proceed in accordance with further instructions from ATET d.o.o.

  • ATET Emergency contact number: +386 30 313 313
  • ATET Reservation Centre and Customer Support: +386 1 320 82 30 / sales@atet.si

Breakdowns on the individual vehicle not remedied by ATET d.o.o. may only be remedied or repaired at authorized service centres for the particular type and brand of vehicle, subject to prior approval by ATET d.o.o. In the event referred to in this paragraph, upon return of the vehicle the renter must provide ATET d.o.o. with all parts replaced due to the breakdown and the repair invoice so that ATET d.o.o. may reimburse the cost of remedying or repairing the breakdown.

If the renter acts contrary to the provisions of this section, repairs the vehicle independently, or the breakdown arises due to improper use, operation, or driving of the vehicle by the renter, the renter shall bear the cost of remedying or repairing the breakdown.

Each renter has the option to purchase the Roadside Assistance service, which includes the following:

  • free organization of assistance/roadside help in the event of a breakdown, accident, lost key, or flat tyre (the cost of the tyre itself is not included, only the organization);
  • free delivery of a replacement vehicle in the event of a breakdown, accident, or lost key;
  • includes the cost of towing or vehicle removal by the assistance service.

In the event of negligent or uneconomical handling of the vehicle, the purchase of the Roadside Assistance service shall be irrelevant and shall no longer cover the resulting costs. In such case, the resulting costs shall be subject to calculation of the actual costs of the damage incurred and administrative costs.

XIII. Extraordinary Situations and Unforeseen Events (fire, theft, natural disasters)

If the renter has selected an additional liability waiver / excess protection, the renter shall not be liable for damage to the rented vehicle resulting from fire, flood, hail, lightning strike, falling tree, landslide or other natural disasters or extraordinary and unforeseen events beyond the renter’s control, unless the renter contributed to the occurrence of the damage through negligence or failed to act with due care. In the case of basic liability, without a selected additional liability waiver, the renter shall be liable in the above cases.

The renter is not liable for damage to the rented vehicle resulting from theft, provided that theft coverage applies only if the renter has acted with due care, complied with all provisions of these general terms and conditions, and has not acted negligently or contributed to the occurrence of the damage through their actions.

In the event of fire, theft, or any other extraordinary situation, the renter must immediately:

  • call ATET d.o.o. on the emergency phone number +386 30 313 313 and strictly follow the instructions received;
  • notify the police or another competent authority and obtain an official report or other appropriate confirmation of the event;
  • do everything necessary to limit further damage, where safe and possible.

As these situations differ significantly from one another in terms of circumstances, manner of handling, and possible procedures with the insurer or other competent authorities, prior notification of ATET d.o.o. and coordinated action in accordance with the received instructions are mandatory.

If in such cases the renter does not act in accordance with the provisions of this article or fails to notify ATET d.o.o. or the competent authorities, the renter shall be solely liable for all damage and any costs resulting therefrom.

  • ATET Emergency contact number: +386 30 313 313
  • ATET Reservation Centre and Customer Support: +386 1 320 82 30 / sales@atet.si

XIV. Geographical Area Restrictions

If a permit for driving abroad is included in the vehicle rental it is possible to cross the Slovenian border with the rented vehicle.

The permit for driving abroad or for crossing the border merely confirms that the rented vehicle may be used outside the borders of Slovenia. It does not include or cover additional requirements related to driving in other countries. This means:

  • It does not cover tolls, vignettes or similar charges.
  • It does not include compliance with local traffic regulations, restrictions, or other requirements of the individual country.
  • The renter is fully responsible for compliance with all legal and regulatory obligations in the country or countries they intend to visit.

ATET d.o.o. reserves the right to define certain areas as crisis or war areas, meaning that use of the rented vehicle in such an area is prohibited, and the renter undertakes not to drive or use the rented vehicle in such areas. ATET d.o.o. designates as crisis or war areas those areas where there is an increased risk of vehicle theft.

ATET d.o.o. shall designate crisis or war areas at the time of concluding the rental agreement for the individual vehicle on the front side of the rental agreement each time separately and in a specially designated section before the signing of the rental agreement. If the section is blank, this means that ATET d.o.o. does not restrict the use of the rented vehicle in any specific areas on the grounds that they would be considered crisis or war areas.

Currently driving with rented vehicle is forbidden in:

  • Albania (AL)
  • Kosovo (XK)
  • Romania (RO)
  • Bulgaria (BG)
  • Turkey (TR)
  • Greece (GR)
  • Azerbaijan (AZ)
  • Armenia (ARM)
  • Belarus (BY)
  • Estonia (EST)
  • Georgia (GE)
  • Kazakhstan (KZ)
  • Kyrgyzstan (KS)
  • Latvia (LV)
  • Lithuania (LT)
  • Moldova (MD)
  • Russia (RUS)
  • Tajikistan (TJ)
  • Turkmenistan (TM)
  • Ukraine (UA)
  • Uzbekistan (UZ)

ATET d.o.o. may also designate an individual area as a crisis or war area during the term of the rental of the individual vehicle in which case it must immediately notify the renter thereof. From the moment of receipt of such notice, the renter must take the notice into account and act in accordance with the first paragraph of this section.

In the event of the renter’s failure to comply with the provisions of this section, ATET d.o.o. shall be entitled to terminate the rental agreement immediately, and the renter shall be liable to ATET d.o.o. for all damage and lost profit that may arise due to non-compliance with this provision.

XV. Compensation Claims

ATET d.o.o. shall not be liable for the renter’s items and other property left by the renter in or on the rented vehicle, in an ATET d.o.o. service vehicle, or on ATET d.o.o. business premises.

ATET d.o.o. shall likewise not be liable to third parties for damage caused by the renter and not covered by insurance and the individual insurance policies for the individual vehicle.

By signing the rental agreement, the renter expressly waives any and all claims arising from compensation, indemnity, or damages defined in this section.

XVI. Payment

A credit card in the renter’s name is mandatory for vehicle rental (Visa, Mastercard, Diners). Upon vehicle pick-up, use of the credit card PIN may be required, which the cardholder must know and, if necessary, enter in person.

Upon pick-up of the vehicle, a reservation of funds shall be made on the renter’s credit card in the amount of the rental price and the deductible excess or liability amount (deposit).

The amount of the deposit depends on:

  • the selected vehicle category (different liability amounts depending on the vehicle category),
  • the selected additional liability waiver package.

The renter’s liability means that in the event of damage to the vehicle, the renter is liable up to the maximum liability amount for the selected vehicle category.

If the rental includes a liability waiver package reducing the renter’s liability for the vehicle, the amount of reserved funds (deposit) shall be correspondingly lower.

The reservation of funds on the credit card is released when the renter no longer has any outstanding obligations to ATET d.o.o. The deposit or reservation of funds is made upon vehicle pick-up on the credit card; upon return of the vehicle, only the actual rental amount shall be charged and the remaining funds released. Release of the funds depends on the card issuer and usually takes 7–14 days; since this is not a transfer but a release of reserved funds, the credit may not be separately visible on the account. For any additional information regarding release of funds, the cardholder must contact their bank or card issuer directly.

In the event of an extension of the rental agreement, the provisions of these general terms and conditions regarding payment shall apply. If ATET d.o.o. requests payment from the renter for an extension of the rental and provides a payment request and/or instructions, and the renter fails to settle the payment within the specified deadline, ATET d.o.o. reserves the right to unilaterally terminate the rental agreement and repossess the vehicle.

Upon return of the vehicle, ATET d.o.o. shall charge:

  • all costs arising from any penalty, fine, parking fee, or other sanction due to non-compliance with traffic or similar public or private, domestic or foreign rules, which ATET d.o.o. paid in relation to the vehicle rented by the renter;
  • administrative costs of 25,00 € in every case where ATET d.o.o. must provide data to anyone (e.g. police, parking garages, etc.) during the rental period;
  • the cost of damage calculation (EuroTAX) in the amount of 50,00 € at the user’s request, if the renter wishes to receive documentation for possible reimbursement, evidence, and the like;
  • other additional payments which the renter is obliged to pay to ATET d.o.o. under these general terms and conditions of business.

XV.I. Online Prepayment Option – Pay Now - Pay now:

In the case of a reservation with prepayment under a prepaid rate, the payment shall be charged to the renter’s credit card before the beginning of the vehicle rental, in the amount of the full cost of the vehicle rental (including reserved additional services and products).

  • The renter must be the owner of the specified credit card.
  • The name of the driver / person picking up the vehicle and the payment method are determined already at the time of booking and cannot be changed later.
  • The confirmed credit card must be valid and must also be presented at the time of vehicle pick-up.
  • Any additional costs incurred during the rental period shall be additionally charged to the previously presented credit card at the end of the rental.
  • The maximum rental period for a vehicle with prior online prepayment is 30 days.
  • A prepaid online reservation may be changed up to four (4) hours before the start of the rental (subject to actual availability).
  • In cases where the reserved vehicle was not picked up, in case of delay in picking up the vehicle, or early return of the vehicle, no partial or full refund of costs shall be made.
  • Any subsequent changes to a prepaid online reservation may affect the cost of the vehicle rental.
  • If the cost of the rental is reduced due to subsequent changes to a vehicle reservation with online prepayment, the difference shall not be refunded.
  • It is not possible to change the rental rate itself in cases where the original reservation was already made with online prepayment.

XVI.II. Cancellation policy for Prepaid online reservations

A reservation may be cancelled before the start of the rental.

In the event of cancellation of a vehicle rental reservation, a reservation cancellation fee shall additionally be charged from the previously paid rental amount. The amount of the cancellation fee depends on the time of cancellation. Under no circumstances may the cancellation fee exceed the full amount of the previously paid vehicle rental price.

  • If the reservation is cancelled more than 48 hours before the scheduled start of the rental period, the cancellation fee is 40,00 €. The remaining part of the online prepayment shall be refunded to the renter’s credit card.
  • If the reservation is cancelled less than 48 hours before the scheduled start of the rental period, the renter is not entitled to a refund of the prepaid amount.

Cancellation of the reservation shall be valid exclusively upon prior written notice sent to: sales@atet.si

Cancellation of a prepaid online reservation by ATET d.o.o.

ATET d.o.o. may cancel a prepaid online reservation at any time for the following reasons:

  • suspicion of vehicle misappropriation
  • suspicion of identity theft or misuse of the renter’s identity
  • finding that the renter is not the owner of the card used for prepayment
  • any deviation from the general terms and conditions of business
  • other objective reasons

In such cases, the prepaid amount may be refunded in full or in part, depending on the circumstances of the individual case.

XVII Subsequent Payments and Charges after the End of the Rental

All additional costs incurred during the rental period or established after the end of the vehicle rental shall be charged to the renter in accordance with the general terms and conditions of ATET d.o.o.

By signing the rental agreement, the renter agrees that the presented payment card may be used for pre-authorization, payment of the rental, additional services, and subsequent charges after the end of the rental (e.g. damage, fuel, delay, missing equipment, and administrative costs). This provision is expressly stated in the rental agreement signed by the renter upon vehicle pick-up. The renter confirms having been informed there of in advance and gives consent for such charges to be made without additional confirmation. Funds may be temporarily held in accordance with the rules of the card issuer, which is beyond the control of ATET d.o.o.

Additional costs include in particular, but are not limited to:

  • damage to the vehicle or equipment not settled upon return,
  • costs of remedying damage, assessment, and administrative costs of handling the damage claim,
  • costs of resolving cases after the end of the rental (e.g. subsequently discovered damage, fines, tolls, parking charges, costs of processing infringements),
  • costs of interventions, towing, extraordinary procedures, or improper use of the vehicle,
  • costs of cleaning, fuel, missing equipment, or documentation.

ATET d.o.o. shall be entitled to settle all of the above costs by charging the credit card presented by the renter upon conclusion of the rental, even after the end of the rental and the release of the original reservation of funds.

For every subsequent charge, the renter shall be informed by ATET d.o.o. in writing in advance or immediately after the charge is made, together with an explanation and appropriate documentation (e.g. report, photographs, cost calculation).

If charging the credit card is not possible or if the renter settles the obligation outside an ATET branch, ATET d.o.o. may also provide the renter with a payment link or another appropriate method of payment within a specified deadline.

In the event of outstanding obligations, ATET d.o.o. reserves the right to pursue further debt recovery procedures in accordance with applicable legislation.

XVI. Final Terms

During the rental period, the rental agreement cannot be amended, except where both contracting parties mutually agree to such amendment or in the event of a breach of these General Terms and Conditions.
